Thyme came to us from the Mediterranean countries during the eleventh century and the cultivated form, grown mainly in our gardens, is known as Garden Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) sometimes as Mother Thyme.

Outside of cooking, it is typically used in teas, tinctures, bath soaks, and mouth wash/gargles. One of its main constituents, thymol, is an antioxidant that has been connected with helping to reduce coughs and congestion associated with bronchitis and other chest and respiratory problems. In addition, thyme has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against several different bacteria and fungi, Thyme Leaf is high in Vitamin K but also contains a significant amount of iron and manganese. It is also a good source of calcium and dietary fiber.

Nguan Soon its found, in 1954. Spices under the brand name “Hand Brand No.1” The company’s products were rapidly accepted by the national market and today is a household name in Thailand in terms of 100% pure spices and herbs.
