Rice roasted in bamboo

Sticky rice in bamboo or Rice roasted in bamboo is a common Southeast Asian dish consisting of sticky rice roasted inside specially prepared bamboo sections of different diameters and lengths. It is consumed both as a savory food and as a sweet dessert. Thai desserts, (khao lam). Sticky rice soaked mixed with sugar, sweet red beans, and coconut milk and and baked in a length of bamboo. *Not always in Bangkok.
